FGTKL Youth Camp 2008

Below here are some pictures from the beginning of the camp till the end of the camp which starts of with:

On the way to Cameron Highland and the drive took approximately 4hours and we or i guess its only me that had back aches@.@. The picture above is Mei Poh's car.

Half way reach, we had our lunch at The T Cafe. The food there kinda not bad (i heard), and I get to meet my secondary school friends in this camp(the world is so small @.@) which is Chin Yi Jin and Hui Pei Ling(hope i spell their name correctly).>.> .Have a wonderfull lunch there and able to snap a few pics of all the campers, so tis is just 1 of the few pics i had uploaded.

Reached at the Luthuren Mission Bungalow around 2pm if im not mistaken and i get to snap a so called "group photo" of us arriving and the the doors with a "interesting door locker" and windows behind them are the accomodation where we will be staying for these 3days and 2 nights. Here is the upper part of the bungalow.

While here is the lower part of the bungalow. We arrived our destination and brief earlier then expected, so we spend sometime exploring around the forest bungalow while some of them spending the time playin ping pong and basketball.

During the night, our special guest from FGTKL which is Michael Chan that will be sharing the Word with us for these whole camp and it's about The Importance of Unity as it is the theme of the camp.

This is the second day of the camp. What made the sermon become more lively and interesting is that it has mini-games in between which made the whole sermon easier to understand the main point and more interesting. We learnt how to apply teamworks in those mini-competition created by the speaker.

Here is the picture of my team (Fantastic 4) hand in hand to compete with other groups which are The Incredibles and Madagascar group.

On the left side is the Incredible group while on the right side is the Madagascar group trying to fill the bottle with water using only straws from a 1 feet distance away from the bottle. (Look at the "juices" *ewww* water on the floor)

Here is my group discussing how to solve the "case" given by Michael in his sermon. We had given five task which is filling the bottle as like above picture, unfolding a wet tissue to its original form, unrolling a roll of tissue papers without tearing it into half, making something using plastisin that has the theme of Unity and putting together torned pieces of papers into its original shape.

After the sermon on the second day, Amoz and Aaron which are the Game Commitee are preparing for the workshop which also has the theme of Unity. The game is about 3 team competing each other to lift up only 1 balloon at a time using to a certain distances onli strings and rubber bands.

After the workshop, we had a visitation to the Strawberry Farm which is just 10 minutes drive from our "base". Here is a couple of cactus plant and Aarons arm in sight.

During the night, we had a movie program called The Variety Night which each group as named will have to prepare a sketch that represents Unity. The picture above is the group of Madagascar with the sketch title of Madagascar III: Return from the Furnace.

This is the Fantastic 4 group and with the title of The Fantastic Sketch (i guess) @.@

And here is the Incredibles group which won the competition for the Variety Night with the title of The United Incredibles(can't remember).>.<

After all the events and activities, here is the final day where we will be leaving the bungalow and head back to our home sweet home.~
